Helping to recognize the contributions and importance of proper safety and health practices and training in the workplace
3M’s Personal Safety Division (PSD) is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the 3M PSD Occupational Health and Safety Scholarship Program. This program signifies PSD’s support of quality education and training in the occupational health and safety / industrial hygiene profession. The program is designed to help recognize the contributions and importance of proper safety and health practices and training in the workplace. 3M strongly believes that investment in students of occupational health and safety will help strengthen the field and profession for many years to come.
Over the last 30 years 3M has awarded over 100 scholarships to selected students pursuing graduate-level education in Occupational Health or Safety / Industrial Hygiene in the US or Canada. In addition to the scholarships, 3M supports travel to attend the American Industrial Hygiene Association Conference and Exposition (AIHce). The AIHce was selected as the venue to award the scholarships because of the American Industrial Hygiene Associations (AIHA) strong support for students and young career professionals. https://www.aiha.org/get-involved/students-young-professionals/Pages/default.aspx
